The Predators are getting hot at the right time as they have won 7 of their past 8 games. Both goalies are playing well and sound defense let them hang on to the 1 goal lead until they scored the empty netter. The Islanders remain 2 points back of the Bruins for the last playoff spot.

4 at 5 in overtime

What a comeback by the home team! The Bhawks were up 4-1 in the second period and then 3 Lightning strikes in under 5 minutes tied the game up. Crazy 3rd period, the Bhawks outshot the Bolts 10-1 in the first half of the period and then no shots after that.

The Blues win their 10th game in the past 12. I really think the Blues and Preds are going to pass the Wild. The Blues sure have the Coyotes number with a record of 16-1-1 in the past 5 years.

The Red Wings beat the Hurricanes 4-3 in OT. Thankfully Lack will be okay as the teams play again on Tuesday in Carolina. It was a big point in the OT loss for the Hurricanes as they are now just 4 points back of the Bruins.

The Sabres beat the Panthers 4-2 and Brian Gionta played in his 1000th game.

Nashville and St.Louis both have it pretty easy down the stretch. They have one head to head which you can bet your life will end up as a 3 point game. I think both teams finish out at 5-1-1. Which will put them at 99 and 100 points. The Wild would have to finish 2-5 or worse in order to be beat out by both of them as St.Louis would get to more ROW. It's possible, but they have two games against Colorado and one against Phoenix in the final week. Minnesota has too many points in the bank for that gap to close.
