Excellent, not that I collected them that seriously, but anything is better than Club Sobeys.
If Sobeys wants to be successful, they basically need to adopt everything Safeways was doing before getting sold off.

I like this. Especially if they have some of the ridiculous deals that Safeway has had over the years.
True story, back in the "Too good to be true." Airmile days, they had a deal where if you bought 4 cleaning products, you got 50 Airmiles. They had these brillo pad things that were on sale for 69 cents, and they qualified for the promotion. So for $2.76, you got 50 air miles. I scoured every Safeway in the city for them and mind-blowingly, nobody at Safeway caught on. I picked up 500 Airmiles a day, for $27.60 +tax a day, for a week. 3500 air miles, or 3 return flights to Vancouver + a $50 gas card for $193 bucks. On the third day, I just started dumping the brillo pads in the Charity hamper by the door. I even asked the cashier if I could just pay for the brillo pads, and leave them there.

Does anyone know if Sobey's pharmacies will start having the 7x Airmiles on prescriptions? The Safeway by our house is closing, and we spend a LOT on prescriptions.

Good!
I was worried Safeway would be forced to get that horrible Dairyland stuff. I've had their "Chocolate Milk Beverage" and that stuff is disgusting. It's not chocolate or milk. They've managed to somehow create a 3rd more complicated thing out of the simple task of putting chocolate into milk.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought all pharmacies (including safeway) had to ditch any and all loyalty programs on prescription drugs in this province? I'm not sure the switch to Sobey's has any effect on that as it was a change to provincial law.

You guys are arguing over "competing" milk brands that all end up being made by Parmalat or Saputo.

I look forward to continuing to shop at Superstore and buying their superior Malk - a soy-based beverage.

I used to work for Safeway and we had customers that would tell me that all brands of milk taste different. I'd tell em it comes from the same cow lady and they'd lose it on me

All milk is crap. Maybe it's the benefit of living on a farm but commercial milk doesn't have the taste as fresh from the tit milk.
