This book is free to download currently. "The Art of Photography"
Not sure how good the info is, haven't read it, just skimmed but might be useful to some. Some of the photos don't really strike me as being book worthy...

For whatever silly reason, bird photography really excites me. Some of the recent shots:
American coots:
Nesting ospreys - this is from about 200 m:
Blue heron:

That's some strange bokeh on the heron - what lens is that?

Ah, good for you to notice. That was 1000mm f/11 Nikkor Reflex cata-dioptric lens. Invented by the Russian genius lens designer Maksutov in th 1800's, the light going through this lens is reflected by a parabolic mirror into a small mirror in the center of the lens and back to the sensor, this lens was a prototype of the first telescope. Its donut-like bokeh is a signature of all mirror lenses known as "poor-man's long lens".

Playhouse I built (from Costco). My wife had bought a used play kitchen of kijiji last year before we even thought of getting a playhouse. It couldn't have fit better!
Shilo loves it, pool in the front yard and everything.

Little Soul. Such a happy boy and he loves his grandpa!
Soul and his dire shepherd.
Fairy door. Iv'e since smoothed out the cement and it's weathered so looks much better now. Turned out perfect.
