On now.

Really impressed with the first award- they managed to do a thoughtful and meaningful thing without being cringey.

Im coming in having watched a lot of the nominated films this year and generally liked a lot of them. Pretty hard to see Oppenheimer not winning the top honors though.

I saw both. Boy With the Heron was great, and visually spectacular... but Spider-Verse was no slouch as well, and the story and creativity was off the wall. It should have won. In fact, it should have been nominated for best picture as well.

I saw almost everything, ran out of time and didn't get to Past Lives and didn't care to see the Color Purple musical.

American Fiction was excellent, Nyad very good and Rustin ok. Maestro was fine, Holdovers awesome. Zone of Interest was powerful. Barbie very overrated, Flower Moon was my favorite. Poor Things should get best picture or best director but I'm sure those will go to Oppenheimer.

Glad to see Boy and The Heron win for best animated feature film. That was a great movie.

Why can’t they just read out the names of the actors/actresses like they used to? Do they need to inflate their egos even more? Ever since they changed it to this format I need to mute it until the winner is announced. Super cringe

Totally. I turned it off in the middle of supporting actress intros. I love Emily Blunt but we're laying it on real thick here.

Award shows are always cringey. Gotta know what you're signing up for.

Now this Ken song, this is pure garbage.

I do enjoy the Academy bringing back 5 past winners to introduce the five nominees for the acting awards. It really gives it more gravitas and is a beautiful tribute, from actor to actor

Gladstone not winning for Killers is a stunner.

I really loved that connection and brother/sisterhood feel that it inspired.

I think Emma was the odds on favorite, was she not? My wife and I both predicted her to win.

They opened at even odds on betting sites then Lily moved into a slight favourite over the weeks leading into tonight.

I’d say Stone winning is a minor upset and even she seemed surprised by it.
