Also - $7.99 for a loaf of cheese bread! WTF! It feels like last week I picked up a loaf and it was $3.99.

could be worse. I was in Costco recently and they were selling watermelons for $15. That blew my mind.

I’ve been offered a new job, with less flexibility, much harder work, essentially a move from a ‘cushy’ office-based job which I’m so sick of into a shop. But with out all the bull#### or being a babysitter and answering to emails and phone calls and texts and this manager and that manger blah blah blah.
I have to take it right? Like, you know when you’ve had enough right?

I had a donut for the first time in probably 8 years tonight, and discovered I don't like donuts anymore. I'm not sure what the point of...anything is now.

I don’t know what kind of donut you had or where you got it (if it was Timmies, I have good news, everything is up from here), the point is you need to seek out donuts that bring you that joie de vivre you expect from eating one.

I’ve never heard of anyone who went broke buying VISA and MasterCard stock.

Walnut crunch from Tim Hortons. I was expecting nostalgic bliss, but instead it was waaay sweeter than I remember, and despite still being warm tasted like stale cake.

If it's much more money, sure.
If it's the same or less (or marginal increase), I wouldn't.

My dad was an electrician with telus and he was offered the corporate career path, he spent a few years working downtown and said #### that and went back to doing electrical work from a truck and he was much happier doing that. I try not to think about how AGT turned Telus has massively grown during the last few decades and that he probably turned his back on a geyser of money.
Oddly enough, he has a twin brother who took a corporate path with IBM and hit that geyser of money. My dad is a little bit envious of his twin's money, but he knows the price he paid for it and has no regrets. You only get one life and there's nothing wrong with valuing how you spend your time over maximizing financial gains.

Not exactly the same but I did it about 18 years ago, don't regret it for a second.

You need to assess what makes you happy and how your family/personal life is affected.
Years ago I left a job that paid me 20% more, but I was always working, even on my vacations, weekends, there was no down time.
It wasn't worth it.

If you google "Indeed" (the job site). Then select the very first sponsored link, the dot com one, does it come back with a totally screwed site?

I feel like a computer can definitely get into a carry-on. Replace the monitors and etc when you get there.

My son was able to pack his PC case into a carry-on and packed his bigger monitor and peripherals into a suitcase for a recent trip to vancouver.

I never considered it as a carry on. That's a good idea

Is it fair to refer to Edmonton as the home of the mullets when so many young guys are walking around Calgary sporting them these days?
