Just watched Pan Am and it was not bad, will stick with a few more episodes and make a final decision but the first one impressed me. Story is all over the place but they all have interesting stories.
I definitely need them to tone down her character. It's too quirky, to the point where I can only tolerate it for a few seconds and I find myself tuning out. I also didn't much care for the new roommate. I do however like the other two roommates. Not sure how much more of this one I will watch, which is unfortunate. I really thought it had potential.
I followed Wayans though over to Happy Endings and watched its premiere and quite enjoyed it. I really find him quite funny, but I actually thought everyone on the show was good. I also like the chick that used to be on SNL. Don't know her name, but she was hilarious.
I checked out Suburgatory. Not bad, but I am frankly a little sick of shows using voice overs.
Surprising, I watched the second show, and I thought it was worse then the first and followed the typical sitcom romcom scripting.
It was far worse. Too bad Wayans was gone, the three guys had great chemistry. Still decent show, and decent writing and directing. I decided to PVR Happy Endings just because of New Girl.
Enjoyed Suburbgatory, also good writing and stylized directing.

I liked Pan Am as well, which was surprising.
They're not trying to be Mad Men, which I think helps, in spite of the period piece nature of the plot.

I thought Pan Am was okay, maybe a bit jumbled though. I'll give it another shot.
I finally watched Whitney. Meh. I think I just have a low tolerance for shows using laugh tracks. I feel you can see the "jokes" coming a mile away. However, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Nowhere near 2 Broke Girls level of bad.
I think Revenge is pretty intriguing. Not so sure about the shows longevity though.
Modern Family is/was great. Great comedy!
Have there been any early cancellations yet this year?

Casey Wilson - had a funny appearance on Conan this week.
If you are interested in the history of SNL, check out Jay Mohr's podcasts, Mohr Stories. The last one with Kevin Nealon was awesome.
She's adorable. They really do need to tone down her quirkiness though, and possibly get rid of one of the roommates. It's too bad they lost Wayans, but I'm glad Happy Endings got a second season.

Terra Nova was boring to me too. Interesting at the beginning, but towards the end it got boring.
To me it seemed like they wrote the part about the future, and going back in time, had it all figured out perfectly, and actually made it interesting. Then, when they were done filming all that, and it was time to film scenes from the world 85 million years ago, they began filming and realized it was pretty boring. Who gives a crap how nice your house is, and dinosaurs are cool for about 10 min, so they decided to suddenly add the Sixers, and start twisting the story a bit.
The actors are pretty lame too. I was expecting so much more.
Ugh to New Girl. The first episode was ruined by the commercials, which showed all the funny parts. The second episode may have been some of the worst TV I have ever seen. None of the characters are even likable.
I watched Season 6 Episode 1 of Dexter and I think we are in for another long, ho-hum season, like Season 5. Not sure all the guest stars are going to be able to save this season...but it would dumb of me to judge the season after just one episode.
PnR and Community were good. The Office was definitely missing Michael. Kevin's "Warning! Warning!" had me laughing pretty good though.
How do you guys find the time to watch all of these shows?!
It's because of a new invention called a PVR. It lets you record shows and then watch them at your own convenience. Gone are the days of having to set aside an exact time, cancelling plans, or staying up when you're tired and have to work the next day, all to watch your favorite shows.
Get out of the past...
and jump into the future!!!
