Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes is set to play on for a further season at Old Trafford.

My bad. I saw that on Barton's twitter feed earlier today. I'm a social media neophyte and had no idea that it was anything other than real.

It seemed strange that Rooney would jump all over a fellow "professional" like that. I use professional very loosely when it comes to describing Joey Barton. Very loosely

yeah, there are a lot of fake accounts out there ... no idea why someone would fake an account, but obviously there are weirdos out there that get a kick out of it you can spot the real ones though - they are verified by twitter and usually have a blue point with a white check mark right beside the name.

I'd really love that, but I just don't feel like that's where they're going.

Right now, I'm thinking Kenny keeps the job for at least another season, but they hopefully give him a bit more support staff.
