That's nice. But they can't seem to beat Vegas (a deeper team with better goaltending), so I don't really understand why it's a conversation since they have to go through said team once again.
Any one talking about the Oilers in the finals when they've shown they can't hang with the established contenders is exposing some of these hockey pundits.
I trust the results, not hype. Results say the last two cup winners took the Oilers out in a sweep and 6 games.
So what about the Oilers this year vs last year moves them ahead of the teams they bowed out to? I'd like to know.
Rookie coach?
Connor Brown?
39 year old Perry?
Yeah, that's what I thought..

Not sure what you're going on about, but we are talking about the NHL doing what they can to put the Oilers in a winning position, nobody said they were going to win.

I just find it hilarious when people bring up the "we lost to the Cup champs twice in a row!" like that is some sort of badge of honour.
Yes, you lost to them twice in a row BECAUSE YOU AREN'T AS GOOD!

The teams they beat before beating the Oilers also lost to the champs. I don't think they see it as a badge of honour.
Probably because they don't live on delusion island.

11th overall in the league. They're the most elite team that's currently not in the top ten! We can't take that away from them.

Honestly...I've been toying with the idea of paying the fee to get him to say that Edmonton is No Good, the Oilers Suck, McDavid is a crybaby and Draisaitl pisses himself.
I mean...if its my $1200 he's gotta say whatever I want right?

Hey, at least they have a B2B this weekend, right? Oh, it is in Edmonton, so no travel. And then off for 4 days.
Such an easy schedule. Makes me sick.

Just saw the highlights from last night. Haha, stupid Oilers!
Bruins were clearly asleep at the wheel in that game. And the goaltending on both sides? Yikes. Thankfully the B's finally took care of business in the end, as an elite team should.
Edmonton is no good.

They have 29 games left and there are about 56 days left in the season. They are going to be playing more than every couple days. Leading in to the playoffs they are going to be tired already. Plus they have been relatively healthy this year, with that many games left injuries will start to creep in.
First round crash and burn incoming, but maybe they will play Vegas and then when Vegas wins the cup again the Oilers can brag about that.

They have been riding Skinner, because their schedule has allowed it. Their challenge going forward is that they can't play him every night.

Skinner looks to be reverting to the form that led to Woody getting fired.

The Oilers schedule in April is particularly brutal.
Three sets of 3 games in 4 days, the last one could be considered soft, but they won't be resting anyone.
