i try not to be all 'tin foil hat' with stuff, but it sure seems like the oilers get favour after favour after favour

Well, they can't keep playing the bottom 21 forever. At some point, they are going to have to start facing the top 10.

I think at this point it’s really the only explanation. Has there ever been a stretch o schedule that soft and set up ever? I’m actually curious.

Yup. They’re in for a shock as soon as the puck drops for the post-season. No tired teams on back-to-backs, no backup goalies, no bottom feeders or mediocre non-playoff teams, less penalties called, no 3 on 3 or shootouts, you’re playing every other night, and the hockey is much more intense & tight checking where strong D and goaltending are key.
Oilers will be done in 6 games or less no matter who they play. Edmonton is no good.

I've written an angry letter to Bettman complaining about the blatant favoritism, informing him in no uncertain terms that I shall be boycotting Edmonton Oilers merchandise. Somebody has to take a stand and it might as well be me.

That's a pretty big sacrifice to make a point.

Congrats to the Oilers on another massive win against a tired bottom feeder who played the night before. And hey, look at that, another backup goalie as well.
Cup parade back on!

The Oilers have been damn good at home this year. That said, they have not been playing many playoff teams at home yet. Boston should be a good test for them.

I am sure at least once in the broadcast, monster truck guy will say this is a preview to a potential Stanley Cup finals.

Heard Raycroft on the radio today saying the NHL would love a Bruins/Oilers final (not exact words but close). I think it's fair to assume the NHL favours the Oilers at the moment.
