It’s okay. I feel the same about poutine after spending any time in Quebec.

I blame humidity. Higher humidity helps your body detect flavour.
Also eating outside can help if it's slightly windy, since the wind helps move food aromas into the nose.

Have always had a good experience at Portland Street Pizza in Eighty-Eight Brewery. They have a really damn good pie in there with loads of banana peppers (called Hungry Eyes), and their side sauces are all made in-house with fresh ingredients and are absolutely terrific.

...have also loved going to Acme Pizza at Two House Brewery in Sunalta (my go-to date place haha). Order a custom burratta/porchetta pizza, you won't be disappointed!

Had me till the last paragraph. Love the pizza at 88. Pizza at two house is no good.

That's okay - the pizza I've had there has been just fine, but I always get that custom one; to each their own! Which one did you get that you didn't like?

Had a couple and just remember them being bland and forgettable. I will say I have only ate the pizza once. The beer is good there.

Been a while since our family had pizza, so we decided to hit up Red Top Pizza. Decided to get the regular circle pizza instead of the Detroit style. And it was thoroughly mid. Should've gone with the tried and true Detroit style. Actually, I'm worried that now even the Detroit style pizza has gone downhill. I guess we're going to have to find out next weekend.

A twist on pizza.
Cloud Naan
Cloud Naan specializes in freshly baked naan stuffed with mouthwatering fillings (flavours include peri chicken, Philly cheese steak, Afghani mutton and aloo cheese). Watch for the first Calgary location on 17 Avenue S.W.

Naan can be stuffed? First time I've ever heard of that and I'm very intrigued as I do love naan.
Edit: they also make a cinnamon dessert naan that I think is going to be a must-have for me.

Wouldn’t folding it over be the same as stuffing it?

I'm guessing not really. If it is stuffed when raw and cooked with a filling I would expect that the texture/end result of the naan is going to be significantly different than a traditional method.

Yeah, I guess that’s true. I saw some pics and they looked stuffed, as opposed to a pita or gyro style idea. The way I have seen traditional naan bread being prepared, these must be cooked horizontally as opposed to being basically slapped on the side of an kiln. Anyway, looks interesting, especially the banana/peanut butter one (if it’s available here).
