Hanowski with quite the offensive explosion. Knight as well.
Looks like the offense is finally there. Next up to bat is Ortio and the defense.

This offense could be pretty wild when Sven gets going and Poirier comes back. Any updates on Poirier. I heard he was ahead of schedule. Thought he'd be back by now.

No updates since his surgeon visit on Sept 30. He went, but looks like he still doesn't have contact clearance.
Nothing was really said after that.

Actually, Randy Sportak is reporting he is expected to play in 2 weeks. This was from yesterday:

… Sticking with shoulders, 2013 first-round draft pick RW Emile Poirier, who had off-season shoulder surgery and missed all of training camp, is expected to be playing for the AHL Adirondack Flames within the next two weeks.

More empty seats than I expected. Noticed Gillies fist pumping with the boys as they came off. It's weird. Off the ice he doesn't look like a lunatic.

A lot of people will tell you that Gillies is a good guy and teammate. He just goes a little over the top when he gets mad sometimes.

Sven was a lot more noticeable in the game yesterday overall. Nearly scored one if it didn't hop on him at the last second (similar play to the Hathaway goal). He's still needing to bury one, but that assist should help him gain confidence.
