And the fact that it was close to the Capitol Building would be why it is a Breaking News story on every outlet in North America and a much bigger issue then just a regular Thursday shooting.

Excited to watch this game. As others have said, I'm not so interested in the score but looking to see the team improve from beginning of the year to the end.
It need not be said that this is the biggest game of the season so far.

David Jones hasn't been getting much press time, but I think he'll be crucial to Bear and Monohan's success.
If he's on his game, he'll be a handful for the opposing D and will open up alot of space for his two young linemates.
Lots of space for them= lots of good exciting hockey.

I guess it is the first game of a new era. They're talking about being a blue collar team that doesn't give up. That would be a welcome direction and it'll be interesting to watch for signs of that.
A resilient team game with everyone buying in. That would be nice. Bad shifts had a tendency to turn into bad periods with the old team. The lack of immediate pushback used to be very evident.

Still, it's risky playing Bärtschi and Monahan together. If they don't get pinned to their zone, it'll be a successful night. But at least Hartley isn't a coward.
