Fun moment last night, I was in a pvp environment and fighting this guy, and it was a good fight. But we were close to a Imperial base, and I finally said screw this and force shoved him right into the super over powered turrets of the base with my Sith Warrior and stood there watching him die.
I even did the Vader turn off my light saber thing as he slowly collapsed to the ground dead.

yeah its going to be interesting to see the reception to it. The gearing system is really going to change as is the currency system.
I have a feeling that we're heading towards the end of the Story line.
I think you're right, I'm not sure how much this game has left in the tank, although I have not heard of any other Star Wars MMOs in the works, so who knows.
I haven't done a ton of reading up on Onslaught, but resetting command rank to grind for gear again is pretty lame, and it looks like it's going to be a helluva grind. I didn't even get my main to all 258, although I only play a couple hours a week if lucky these days, do the conquest points and pvp a little.
Yeah, I've got 8 characters at 258, and started some other players.
There aren't any more SW MMO's the MMO Genre is dying out.
It does sound like a major grind, but I'm there for the story.
I think there will always be a market for a Star Wars MMO. I'm surprised The Old Republic has lasted this long. I still enjoy the new story content, and I don't have the time to raid anymore, so popping in for a couple of pvp matches or running some dailies/weeklies for conquest points fits the bill just fine. PVP lvl 100 is a friggan grind lol, I would imagine you're there already, I didn't get into PVP until a few years ago, sitting at lvl 85, yeesh.
Yeah I mainly joined to play the stories and solo play, which I've really enjoyed. I mean KOTFE and KOTET weren't great stories, but still played through it.
I did do some PVP and dailies and weekly's but you get to the point of the grind where you just don't play at much.
I've really enjoyed the game, its not perfect, but it was my first exposure to MMO.
Its tough because I tend to think the worst thing about MMO games is actually its player base.

Now a days, genchat/fleetchat is either moaning about politics or subbing "jawa" into movie titles. I may have to end up checking out the Elder Scrolls MMO, apparently it has come a long way since it's awful release.
Yeah, I'm going to end up playing SWTOR right to the end, I was signed up before its release date, and still enjoy playing it.
I still remember how horrible I was at this game when I started because I didn't understand the concept around Stats for building the best character builds. Now the game pretty much helps you with it.
I also remember the early non color matched mismatched armor sets.
I have one of the original end game armor sets, that totally not good anymore, but it looks cool and I had another player offer me 200 million for the old set.
They've pretty much wrung everything they can out of the game engine, its a big part of why I think this game isn't going to be alive for much longer.

Same here, I was in a couple of the beta trials, I'll play it to the end as well.
hahaha I did the same thing gear wise, I thought a little bit of each stat was necessary, I can't believe I made it to level 50 and finishing the story on my toon with my gear like that. Finally had a buddy look at my gear and after WTF!!!! he told me what I should have. I'll have to look in my inventory to see what I have sitting around from back then, I'm a pack rat!

I was so bad at armoring at the start that I made a Sith Lord and dressed him in bounty Hunter Green Armor because Reds and Purple mod armor was so hard to get and super expensive. He had great Bounty Hunter stats but they were terrible for a Sith Lord, so basically I couldn't kill anything.
I remember one player asking me why my Sith Lord was wearing Bounty Hunter Armor and I didn't understand the question because I responded with "A Sith Lord who looks like Boba Fett is double badass".
Once I figured out rolls and stats the game became easier, my latest Roll is a Sith Warrior Juggernaut, and I'm one shot killing silvers.

Yeah, wasn’t too bad, servers were down when I finished installing. Popped in for a pvp and wow, my stats are borked, don’t know where to put skill points, gotta hit the online guides I suppose.
