Didn't the new premium cabin and the dreamliner both come around at the same time? I figured it was the same beer.

No, the new premium cabin was introduced in early 2018 and the Dreamliner came a year after that from what I can remember. I'm pretty sure they had a different beer on board prior to the Dreamliner.

I just saw that.
I was **this** close to booking them for a trip this summer. My gut kept telling me to wait.
That's 2 trips that have fallen through for me in a week.

I actually found Lynx to be far more reliable than Flair in my experience with them. Used their flights regularly to get to Vancouver and Phoenix. This sucks.
There had been rumours of a merger/buyout for a while — wonder if we see something coming out of this.

I was really hoping nobody was booked with them in the imminent future, I wasn't sure what I was or wasn't allowed to say.
They owe a whole lot of people a whole lot of money to the degree that we are shocked they somehow made it this far.
Best of luck to everyone there seeking new employment. There's some good folks. This isn't fun.

Item 98 of the Lynx bankruptcy affidavit was particularly interesting
"As of February 21, 2024, [Lynx has] entered into an Letter of Intent for a transaction that will allow an orderly wind down of operations while simultaneously maximizing the value of Lynx's remaining assets."

They defaulted on de-icing services here in Calgary but to my knowledge they were not close to defaulting on airport improvement fees or anything else payable directly to YYC, not that it matters.

Would I be correct in assuming that those Lynx pilots probably don't have to worry much about finding a new job? Thinking AC and WS would snatch them up right away if they applied.

Scramble the F-22's! Time to add another kill to their record.
Or comedy option: Equip a U-2 with one missile and let it rip.

WestJet and Sunwing had both paused hiring as they work through their merger. WestJet pilots fly way more efficient pairings, so the combined entity even anticipating growth will not necessarily need the full sum. That might change with this bankruptcy, but it's predicated on how many of Lynx's planes WestJet is interested in acquiring. If zero, scooping up a hundred Lynx pilots does you no good.

Dust off an SR-71 and buzz past it at Mach 3+.

So my Lynx flight to Orlando was cancelled tomorrow; thought they would be keeping flights until Sunday - NOT MINE OF COURSE. Finally got on a another Delta flight instead, at the cost of an additional $350 per person. What a stressful day this has been.
THANKS LYNX

They cancelled YYC-LAX today, word is if the flew into the US they'd be pretty much hooped and have no ability to pay for anything. Maybe even end up with the aircraft being seized.

They flew both YYZ-MCO and YYZ-TPA this morning, so it's airport specific. YYC-MCO cancel tomorow appears to be crew related, and the YYC-LAX and YYZ-LAX cancels this morning were specific to the LA airport authority refusing services.
