But, I suppose the "Taylorian One" and Canuckleheads are a match made in...somewhere.

Vancouver is no good.
He's on a daily show with Rick Dhaliwal over there who has a lot of contacts around the league, so it's interesting that there are whispers out there that Canucks are not thrilled with Zadorov both on and off the ice.

It's odd, because to me (and maybe many fans?), he's solid as a 5/6 and can sub-in if needed when injuries happen as the #4 temporarily. Above average skater at his size, big hitter who admittedly makes regular bad plays in his own end. Also seems to speak quite candidly to media, which I guess might be the issue his teammates have with him?

Though on this last part, he only did that with the Flames and while we as fans loved it, I can see why guys like Backlund and Coleman came out almost immediately with a bit of a backhand to him saying the team is fine and nobody is as he described. He hasn't done that as far as I know though in Vancouver.

One thing that kinda blew my mind was when his agent tweeted that Zadorov is the Flames best defenceman... not sure if Zadorov also felt that way or if it was just a stupid agent thing they say.

Not a good look for Zadorov heading into free agency that two locker rooms in one season have soured on him.

Might also be that Vancouver thought his contract demands would be more reasonable and are fine subbing him out if they can get someone with a bit more term.

I don't think the Canucks locker room has soured on Zadorov. I think they are looking to see if they have a chance to get a legitimate top 4 guy so they can split up Hughes and Hronek on occasion.

If this is something they can do the money has to come from somewhere.

Good luck to both teams on this trade.

Good to see a proactive Canucks management that don't sit around waiting for things to happen. And however this unfolds for both teams it's good to have action and movement on all the endless Lindholm trade scenerios.

Lindholm is good.

Vancouver is still no good.

They've been alright.

And if they're no good, than they're a bit better with Lindholm.

assuming Lindholm gets back to his old self...Lidholm hasn't been good this season at all, and this isn't a new take from me

I don't see him getting there right away.

Hopefully Canuck fans are patient because they might not be blown away by this guy right off the hop.. He went 20-something games without scoring before potting one the other night finally.

It's highly likely that one effect of this trade, especially the remainder of this season, is Lindholm gradually stepping in to a new zone in his play and confidence , with the benifit of skilled creative players surrounding him, a good team structure and attitude.

I expect the opposite. I think Flame fans need to be ready to see a productive and engaged Lindholm. The Nucks are playing with confidence and he is a great player, so I expect he'll look really good.

He probably will, he has a chance to save his next contract...not all that relevant to the Flames though
