Also - if they didn't call embellishment on Fiala it would have been a 51 second 5 on 3 for LA. That was a huge turning point in the game. Just trash officiating.

Like why would you pick that as your moniker if you're going to be a big softy towards the oilers in most of your posts? It's nonsensical, unless you're indeed a covert troll.

I honestly just picked the name cause I thought it was fun.

I'd like to think I'm an objective hockey fan (which I think the majority here are at CP especially relative to reddit - it was really the main reason why I migrated to posting here from r/calgaryflames). I think the Oilers are objectively bad - as in they have no defense, goaltending, and scoring after McDavid. That doesn't mean I have to think every powerplay they get is based on a fake call and I think it's a stretch to say I'm defending them if I don't.

Anyways, enough of this drama - we are here to talk about ENG, hockey and the flames. Not about me.

LA was LA, but lets be honest, Nashville could be very challenging to the Oilers.


Nashville has held a pretty good offensive team in the Canucks to an average of about 20 shots a game, Soro's hasn't been great, but he hasn't had to in a lot of ways.



The Preds are deep, they are very much a good choke off the ice team. The Oilers aren't as deep, and Skinner has been meh.



I'd be happy to take the Preds in a 7 game series against the Oilers if it comes to it.



But Edmonton is not getting by Colorado, or LV, or even Dallas.

It's all about the Zebras. Oilers got outplayed, or played even at best, against the garbage Kings team 5 on 5, so what do you expect against those teams?

didn't watch the game but caught the intermission- was that when Friedman said McDavid let up on the shot because he's some sort of humanitarian and Bieksa called him out on it- like ok we get it you are cheering for him

I'm cheering for Vancouver to win over the Preds because I think Vancouver has a better chance than the Oilers.

Nashville vs. Oilers will be just like the Kings matchup, and Draisaitl will get a ton of points cuz he always scores against the Preds.
