He doesn't seem like a guy who will toss money at a problem to try and fix it.

He also has a sweet nickname. Tree. Awesome.
And that they did, so many overpriced screw ups - and yes, both were equally bad be it Sarich or Wideman, Tanguay or Kotalik, etc. Yeah I know, it didn't hurt us that much sometimes, but just showed how incompetant management was for the previous 2 regimes.

More Treliving:

build teams from the back out
center ice position and top 4 defencemen are critical and foundation of the team

development - you have to be ready, regardless of draft position, age, etc
don't get a 2nd chance at growing players the right way

Jim is probably the single best person The Flames could've hired. Arguably more valuable than Don Maloney imo.

wll be interesting to see if Calgary and Phoenix make any trades in the next little while, being that Brad is familiar with the players.

He mentioned that he's watched the Heat a number of times so he should have a handle on our prospects. Being in charge of their AHL affiliate is a positive.

That's ok. Bouw N Arrow posted that, not Jordon.

Says Giordano exhibits the qualities that the Flames want to be about.

on AGM hiring

has a profile of what he wants
wants to see what type of people are already in the organization
has a few people in mind
wants to cast a wide net
might want to hire someone under contract with other organizations

Is there a link to the full press conference?

From what's posted here I like what he has to say, seems to have a firm understanding of how to build a hockey team the right way.

Probably thought the question was: Can you contain your excitement for Brad Treliving?
