That doesn't matter to the sell crowd. The Flames could win out all the way to the trade deadline, sign both Hanifin and Tanev instead of trading them, and they would be cursing Conroy on here.

And in a way, it makes sense. The old core was rotten, they needed a cultural reset in the room.
Adding personalities like Kuzmenko and Pelletier? No wonder they're having a blast out there since coming back.
Also, look at the guys that have left or been moved out:
-Lindholm (contract cloud hanging over him, poor season)
-Zadorov (distraction in the room and from agent)
-Dube (spectre of 2018 TC following him, really poor season)
-Ruzicka (inconsistent effort, square peg in a fourth line round hole, poor season)
One underrated thing about the trades is that the Flames didn't move out anyone who was really helping the team. Zadorov was having the best season of any of them and he was a #5 Dman. It's been a pretty fine line, but Conroy was able to make some room for players who rewarded him for the opportunity without giving up any players that were performing at a high level.
The guys who have been really good this year: Coleman, Markstrom, Weegar, Kadri, and Sharangovich are still on the team and still playing well.
Who knows what will happen with Hanifin and Tanev... they fit well together and fit well in Huska's system so I am curious if they're looking at this group with the changes and thinking it's a more competitive group?

Just keep going Nashville, make the team better long term, sell your UFA's, get younger, acquire assets and maybe make playoffs.
Fun watching young guys who want to be here and enjoy having fun, the youth has changed the room for the better.

It wasn't a disallowed goal, per-se, just an early whistle for no reason that negated an almost sure-thing empty netter
It was annoying. But at the end of the day it was the equivalent of a quick whistle when the ref thinks the goalie covered the puck (I actually thought it was lucky they didn’t blow the whistle on Zary’s goal because everyone thought Vanacek had the puck).
Pelletier is going to be an ultimate "glue guy" in his career. Not the biggest skillset, but does everything you want in terms of a winning/positive player. Love him.

If flames were in the eastern conference they may become top team. . I remember a couple season ago the Flames were out off playoff when they got more points than eastern playoff teams.
