Vardy still got paid so it's not like he bypassed a bigger club and more money. I doubt there's that much regret. I'm still holding on to my dream of relegation and Champions League winners.

Gabriel Jesus will probably miss the remainder of the season with a broken metatarsal.
Shame for City, he's been great so far and he was the biggest reason for City's recent upswing.

Oh, that's horrible. He's been a joy to watch.

I don't know which thread this belongs in, but the officiating at this Spurs/Gent game is pretty poor. Like diving all over the place on one hand and on the other players get dragged down and play continues. I don't know what they're watching at times.

it's a vicious circle for Tottenham. Crash out of Europe early so that they can focus on the PL and gain a berth in CL/EL, only to crash out early and focus on the PL again. It's dumb, but they've had that going for years ...

I don't know if they're about to crash though. They could still win this and head home in control. That's my hope, obviously.

so have Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool, and Man City
every team but Chelsea in England have done that in Europe for the last 5 or 6 years when it was 2 English teams in the semi's most years for awhile

Except Spurs are pretty much a EL team.
How many seasons have they played in the CL?

Non-league team Lincoln FC (they play in the 5th tier) have beaten Burnley 1-0 today and are now advancing to the FA Cup quarterfinals. Have to love the cups for stuff like that!
Meanwhile, Leicester even lose to Millwall now. Sad.
EDIT: also, Joey Barton with his usual display of great sportsmanship.

Good Ol' Joey! He is nothing if not entertaining.
I hope his teammates and manager give him hell for that.
I did like the other player just carrying on and ignoring Barton's antics, it just makes him look all that much more foolish.

Sign of the times when a good result in the FA cup is anything but a draw.
Not a bad thing either, Where in the past away teams would play out the last 15-20 for the replay now that is no longer a decent option so they are going for it.

Best part of this Sutton-Arsenal game is Sutton's ground is so small you can hear a lot of swearing from the fans.
