Which would be cathartic.
I wish the dads could stay till the end of the season.

Oilers winning 10 straight and still only being 2 points ahead of the Flames is hilarious.

Edmonton is no good.

Even the Kraken have a 9 game win streak and haven't lost in regulation in 13. Flukes are allowed.

Peculiar that these (four?) teams on 9+ game winning streaks haven't hit a hot goalie or gotten the short end of the stick with calls at a pivotal point in the game.

Usually those games happen, and not infrequently... but here we are.

I used to think it was just coincidence with the calls and breaks with the Oilers, but it is not. The officiating against the Habs tonight in favour of the Oilers was an absolute embarrassment and that call in OT is unacceptable. And to continue to reward the McDive is ruining the integrity of the game.

There is a fix to get the Oilers in, if the league wants to hide it better they better hire some WWE writers. This is the darkest and most corrupt time the NHL has ever experienced, it’s not even a credible sport at this point.

I'm surprised given how much game management goes on that these refs woudn't stop cutting breaks to the team that's already on a lengthy streak. Gonna throw some dirt in their path at any point or just keep opening the door for more wins at pivotal times in these games?

I mean come on, why are we handing them PPs in OT?

It's a little ridiculous. Looking forward to the potential reality check this week though.

All the old Mcdavid training clips showed him training and working on his edge work etc. Pretty sure his new training regimen in his dreary gray/black home involves a mannequin holding a stick and McPoints practicing every way to hold the mannequins stick and jump on it in a way that appears the mannequin is interfering with the chosen one.

No back to backs with travel until the middle of February I think.

Lots of games with multiple day breaks before game.

More favourable travel schedule.

Lots of games with the other team on a 2nd half of the back to back, and hence lots of back ups.

Honestly considering the Flames and Oilers play pretty much the exact same schedule it's crazy how different the actual structure of that schedule is.

Their schedule was 100% built to maximize rest for McMinus and DraiSelke. The league knows they are a 2 horse team and it’s their only chance, so maximizing the number of days off and playing tougher teams on the back end of a back-to-back achieve this for them.

So big flipping deal. The ass clowns up north have won 10 in a row with a lot of help from the league. Soft schedule, gifted powerplays (in OT no less), and backup goalies. Not to mention they had to win the last 3 in extra time. The Flames did the same thing in 2017 and 9 of their 10 wins were in regulation. Draisatl saying after the game that they'll never be able to take this away from us. WTF??? You won 10 regular season games in a row. I bet half of us on this site don't even remember the 10 wins in a row that the Flames had back in 2017, but this is something they'll never take away from the Oilers. What a clown show that organization is. Oh and after that 10 game win streak they are still only 2 points up on the Flames. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Pissy!!

The reason Draisaitl is saying that is that it will probably be his best memory as an Oiler after he leaves next season.

They can put it right in between the Garth Brooks banner and the pre-season Champs banner.

I was talking about that last night. I know they have games at hand but it seems like they haven’t lost for 2 months and we’re pretty much tied with them.

Must be Edmonton math.

Oilers’ Evander Kane allegedly had ex-wife thrown out of game in Detroit

Quote:
There seems to be no love lost between Evander Kane and his ex-wife.

The Oilers left winger had Anna Kane, who is the mother of his 3-year-old daughter Kensington, allegedly removed from his game against the Red Wings on Thursday in Detroit because he has a restraining order against her, according to OutKick.
Quote:
“Need 15 security to walk me out cuz your d–k is so little,” Anna, who was wearing a Red Wings hat, reportedly wrote over a photo of her being escorted out of the arena.

“Sorry @detroitwings I got kicked out cuz my ex was crying.”

That explains why Holland likes him. It makes his hands look huge in comparison.
