Brandon Carlo at #45. Would be great to get him with a 2nd.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

After last night, the can't catch the Leafs, and can't be caught by the Coyotes. It's either first overall (11.5% chance); third overall (33.5% chance); or fourth overall (55% chance) for them.

Who was the last guy to fall this bad like Kylington? Angelo Esposito?
Man, he turned into a complete bust.

A very deep draft flush with D-men. Awesome. Might be able to get some quality D even in the 3rd round.

One guy I particularly remember is Nick Ebert. He was considered a top 5 or at least top 10 pick one year before the 2012 draft ... he completely fell off the grid in his draft year eventually was the 211th and last pick.
Roland McKeown also fell hard last year ... IIRC he was a 11-20 candidate and then fell all the way to 50th.

I remember a guy who was slated to go in the top ten (for instance, he was Central Scouting's #3 Euro skater, RLR's #8) but dropped to the end of the second round, #58 overall.
Jiri Hudler.

Kylington was No. 1 at the midterm, but dropped five slots following a disappointing end to the season in Sweden.
"My guess is that Kylington will go late in the first round or early in second," Stubb said. "Even though he actually looked better [in 2013-14], the talent and skills are still there."

The one time I would love to see the Flames with a Russian in the 1st rnd, but with Playoffs!, not realistic - most likely. Would be a great fit though if Treliving could move up:
Ivan Provorov a Russian Factor in the 2015 NHL Draft
Great kid; Russian Factor need not apply.

Hopefully we can find a Kucherov-like steal. With how deep this draft is, someone is bound to fall from the first round, allowing us to pick them with one of our 2nds.

I'd love to see the Flames find a way to get into the top 10. Some real nice players there.

Do the Flames ever pick falling players? It seems to me that they are more likely to use their seconds on players who were originally ranked in the third round but have been steadily rising.
