Kings are going out with barely a whimper.

With those bad contracts on the books this could be the new normal for them.

Kings renewed Sutter for two years, but when they miss you gotta think LomDBardi is going to want to switch it up.

Thanks for nothing LA. They are done. Long shot even if they had won, but with that loss I think we have our 8 teams. Just shuffling to be done now. I still really want to finish above the oilers.

LA was never a serious threat and if Lombardi doesn't change things up this offseason, the Kings will be in a similar position next year. Their players are too big and slow and their system suffocates any offense.

As gross as it is, Oilers do us a favour, more nails in the Kings coffin. Someone else is going to have to help us catch the Oilers.

Vancouver twice or Colorado twice?

I really hope the Oilers are swept straight out of the playoffs. I had to move up here for work and living close to the new arena is terrible. The sooner there's no jubilant Oilers fan in the area the better.

And Sharks. They've come back to the pack.

This is the first time Toronto has won four straight against Boston in the same season since 1967.

So what?

Hopefully the Leafs and their 15 loser points get rightfully ejected by Tampa or the Isles.

I think Lombardi will be gone after this season. Sutter stays imo. Rob Blake is the heir apparent for the GM role so they say.

With their schedule and how the Sharks have been playing lately, they may very well finish 1st in the pacific.

Wow, only 5 points separating 1st from 4th in the Pacific and 11 points between 4th and 5th. Everyone has played the same number of games too.

Magic number down to 5...

Never seen Flames fans so disappointed to make the playoffs lol...especially with how the season stared it's pretty crazy to have a spot in the bag with 10 games left

Interesting to look at the standings on NHL.com right now. All teams with a positive goal differential are in and all in the negative are out. Regression to the mean.
