Yeah I'm not sure about the details, just vaguely recall a story about the Bruins shutting down one of the other teams' proposals for a bear related name.

Here are some ideas that I think would be good considerations that most people will probably hate.

Famous outlaws from Utah include the Wild Bunch (A.K.A, the Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid gang of bandits). Sundancers is probably too hokey for a hockey team (although it would also reference Wyoming, which would be in their media market), but I would go with something like the Utah Outlaws or Utah Bandits.

Plays up on something unique to Utah and doesn't copy any teams in any of the big major leagues in NA.

I mentioned it in the other thread, but the paranormal and alien concepts would fit in with Utah, would be unique in NA major leagues, and would have a tonne of marketing potential. People eat that stuff up.

I like their logo, but I think it supposed to be more like a badger or wolverine. I thought it was a bear for a long time, but someone convinced me otherwise.

The Coyotes name stays with the Arizona franchise which is just considered dormant for now.
