Do you live in the NW Hack? It seems like you're taking that picture outside my house haha... the hill on Edgemont?
Cool pic indeed!

hey guys - i got a question
do i need to be worried about using my dslr outside now that it's getting chilly??
i've got a canon 50d
i noticed during the cfl western final that there were lots of professional photographers with their gear out for the game.... do you need to worry about condensation when the gear warms up? do the camera's still work the same or does stuff get 'sticky' in the cold?
i just don't want to ruin my camera
thanks in advance
chris

Yeah. Having a camera out in the cold and then immediately taking it indoors is really bad for the gear. What I do sometimes is take my bag out with me, so that it cools down. When I put my camera back in the bag, the bag isn't hot/warm. My camera bag will actually stay pretty cold for a while and even when brought indoors, my camera is still cold for a good hour or so in the bag. Another method I've heard is to wrap the camera in a plastic bag before taking it indoors. Another is to immediately put your camera bag in the freezer and then gradually warm it back up.
As for getting sticky, i don't notice it. It's more my numb fingers

Okay, now Hack&Lube's pano is getting annoying. Dude, can you wrap that thing in a spoiler tag?

Agreed Koop. First is awesome. I really like the bird too.
Also agree the pano would be much better behind a spoiler tag.
