Apparently there was a flub up and AMC accidently released the following spoiler. Which isnt a huge shocker to anyone who read the comics.

My interpretation is that Shane is feeling more and more isolated. The lone walker was Shane looking at a (future) representation of himself.
I think it had significance on where Shane is going. Having that talk with Rick, he can stay, but his girl, kid, and unborn child isn't his anymore (or at least Rick said so).
The guy acts and feels no better than a lone walker right now. Really good scene, and not one I expected from this show. It was very deep when I saw it.
Then again, maybe it had no meaning... Who knows.

The knife thing isn't the huge oversight people think it is. After killing a zombie with it, they would have wiped it off. Given that we don't know how exactly it's transmitted or how much of the virus there has to be to overwhelm the immune system, or how long the virus can survive outside a human body, it's entirely plausible that he used the same knife and didn't get infected.
Doesn't mean it was a good idea, though. Stupid Shane.

I like to think that with a show that is as well produced as this, that all details have a point and are intentionally shown to the audience, I mean aside from some of the gore and violence. Similar to Breaking Bad, I would like to think that the dialogue and scenes are not just time fillers, again I mean aside from Walt Jrs breakfast scenes.
Anyhoo, I think if they focused on him cutting his hand with the bloodied knife, it was for a reason.

Well that ending was surprising. I hope that kid didn't escape in all the commotion.

Pretty happy that they killed Dale off. Probably my most hated character in the show. How did they not notice Carl missing and then coming back with his clothes all dirty?
Only 2 episodes left until Season 3 starts in October! Will be a loooong wait

I was getting annoyed with Dale.
Damn kid should've shot the zombie when he had the chance though.

Pretty good episode. I thought one of the annoying ladies would get killed off before Dale would.
