I say worse. Even though we'd have more skill in the line up I suspect we would be losing more often and by bigger margins. No way this team would have the attitude it does if Iggy was still here as the captain.
We maybe wouldn't be worse from a standings perspective, but I think we would still be dreadful to watch as has been the case in years past. Iggy just couldn't be the teams focal point. Some teams can move away from a mindset like that gracefully, while keeping the player (ala Redwings w/ Yzerman) but I think it was pretty clear that Iggy had to go in order to see a change in attitude. I'm not saying Iggy had a bad attitude, but the attitude of the team surrounding him and focused on him was detrimental to the overall success IMO. It's not a slight to him, everyone hits a point of diminishing returns. He'll have more fun (and thus play better) in Boston.

Iggy had a nice scrap, quality play making assist and an e/n goal over the weekend. Nice to see how much of a great fit he is turning into for the Bruins alongside Lucic.

Not a peep out of the Iggy fanboys.

Overrated Player. But a nice guy.

Glad we have Monahan and a more balanced Forward roster.
You can't fix stupid.

Iggy currently leads the Bruins with a plus 11, 3rd in points and 2nd in fights.
Ya he isn't an impact player anymore.
