Popsicle is playing center on the world stage and leading in scoring?

Take note Flames and Huska. Like seriously.

Love how Tkachuk lamented the absence of fighting in the tourney when discussing Pospisil. He clearly doesn't know the guy well enough.

Canada just blew it against Austria. 6-6 game now. Austria scored 5 (!) in the third

Canada had a 6-1 lead going into the third against the powerful Austrians but Austria scored 5 to tie it. But Canada pulled out the victory in OT.

pretty cool to steal a point after being down 6-1 we were a bit unlucky not to get a point against Switzerland (led 2-0 and 3-1, but lost 6-5 after a Hischier goal in the final minute of regulation), so it's awesome to get one here. In the end, it'll all be about the games against Norway and Great Britain when it comes to staying up, but an unexpected point here or there won't hurt.

If your guys are competitive against Switzerland and Canada, Norway and GB shouldn't be a problem.

got absolutely spanked by Denmark though. That's the thing, you just never know which version of this team shows up ... wouldn't be the first time that they show promise against a top team, then falter in "winnable" games. Having a good game against Switzerland and Canada is nice, but at the end of the day, it'll still all be about survival.

Team is promising though. Sadly missing two of the three recent top 10 picks in Kasper and Reinbacher at this tournament, but there's some talent and grit in this group. Should bode well for the next few years.

On the Canada-Austria game, I love seeing the underdogs in these tournaments surprise. I don't root against Canada, but I don't mind huge upsets like that in any tournament.
