Bruins are too good to lose here. This could be the quickest of the first round series. Bruins in 4.

Another series where the favorite should probably get it done in short order, but you never know. The first round is always the most fun round. Panthers might surprise with a longer series.

I think Florida needs Benny back to make it interesting. He really solidified that second line and his game is made for playoffs.

Hey Cali, are you ready to do a time warp or get in the Delorean and go back to 1996? That was the last time the Panthers and Bruins played each other in the playoffs and it was also in the 1st round.

The logos were like this

Panthers in 7. Too much pressure on the B’s with their historic regular season and “last dance” talk.

I don't know about the pressure. They openly talked about setting records when it looked realistic and did it easily.

I thought we did that last year. It’s a great idea.

Yikes, Friedman & Marek saying that a bad flu is making its way through the Bruins room. Big break for Florida?

It's why they still play the games, even though it looks like a mismatch on paper. It will be interesting to see how it plays out positively for Florida, or it could still be an unmitigated disaster for them...but it's why we watch.

Bennett was pretty ineffective last playoffs, with 3 points (only 1 goal) in 10 games.

A team that needs Benny is the Flames. He excelled playing with Huberdeau.

I don't think you should read too much into last year, the whole team was very ineffective in the playoffs due to lack of adjustments by Brunette. Probably the only guy who stood out was Verhaege.
Also Bennett brings much more than points so that's not really a good measuring stick for him. But now it looks like he won't be playing so it's moot.

Last night the injury report said he's out to end of April. Today I see it says he's probably for Game 2....
