Another series where the favorite should probably get it done in short order, but you never know. The first round is always the most fun round. Panthers might surprise with a longer series.

I think Florida needs Benny back to make it interesting. He really solidified that second line and his game is made for playoffs.

Friday, April 21, at Florida on CBC, Sportsnet (not the West channel), TNT, and TVA Sports 1730h/5:30 pm Sunday, April 23,at Florida on SportsnetOne, TNT, and TVA Sports 1330h/1:30 pm
Bruins: 65-12-5, 135 points (1st in the Atlantic Division and 1st in the eastern conference) Panthers: 42-32-8, 92 points (4thin the Atlantic Division and 8th in the eastern conference)
Regular-season series: Bruins won 2-1-1 (Panthers 2-2-0)
This will be the second time these two teams will meet in the playoffs.
Hey Cali, are you ready to do a time warp or get in the Delorean and go back to 1996? That was the last time the Panthers and Bruins played each other in the playoffs and it was also in the 1st round.
Yikes, Friedman & Marek saying that a bad flu is making its way through the Bruins room. Big break for Florida?
It's why they still play the games, even though it looks like a mismatch on paper. It will be interesting to see how it plays out positively for Florida, or it could still be an unmitigated disaster for them...but it's why we watch.

Bennett was pretty ineffective last playoffs, with 3 points (only 1 goal) in 10 games.
A team that needs Benny is the Flames. He excelled playing with Huberdeau.
I don't think you should read too much into last year, the whole team was very ineffective in the playoffs due to lack of adjustments by Brunette. Probably the only guy who stood out was Verhaege.
Also Bennett brings much more than points so that's not really a good measuring stick for him. But now it looks like he won't be playing so it's moot.
