They missed a few years ago with a stacked lineup. No one thought the powerhouse Sharks with Karlsson would miss the playoffs, next thing you know, Ottawa ends up with Stuzle at 3rd overall.

I want Vegas to block the Oilers and Canucks this and next year (closing out the McDrai window) then fall off in 26 to make that pick for the Flames a good one.
Best case scenario.

The rules are broken and it isn't the same for every other team unless they have big money players that get injured during the regular season they can put on LTIR before the trade deadline. No team should ever have a $15-20M salary advantage in the playoffs just because some guys got put on LTIR.

They are old, don't really have prospects and now probably many draft picks for the next few years. Eventually it catches up to you. They are just hell bent on going for broke while the window is open. They are in 4th place in the division now.

This deal also will hopefully help Vegas get out of the first round so the 3rd can change into a 2nd.
