God its got to be really tough to get your show run over for its writing problems and plot problems and it turns out that you might have ripped it off of a unknown video game.
I guess if you're going to plagiarizer maybe use something decent.
It seems oddly specific for something so obscure which kind of insinuates that they totally stole it and just kind of figured nobody would notice.

But why the hate for O'Brien? As a minor character, I thought he was fine. Also, Colm Meaney is awesome.
He was just a dumb character. I mean, are we supposed to believe that on a ship with that amount of automation they're going to have a crewman who takes up a room, and food and resources to just stand at the damned teleporter panel?
I also like Colm Meaney (Hell on Wheels was awesome!) but lets be serious here.

They did a good job of him in DS9, but on Star Trek TNG he was basically the door man from the Jeffersons.
And being that there are very few enlisted men in Star Fleet, nearly everyone is an officer, I'm sure that he was also the guy that would take people's luggage to their rooms and turn down their beds. I mean seriously there was one enlisted rank in Star Fleet, and that was chief, so basically while it sounds cool, he's pretty much the only private on that ship.

So I revisited ST-The Motion Picture this afternoon for the first time in ages. I honestly can't remember the last time I watched it. Sometime back in the mid-90s maybe?
Anyway, I still don't think it's very good, and it's definitely one of the weaker films in the franchise. But I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed the first 45 minutes or so.
Moments I liked:
The reunion of Kirk, Bones, and Spock.
The crew's reaction when Spock comes aboard the ship unannounced and returns to his post like no time has passed.
The sexy, gratuitous cheesecake shots of the Enterprise as she prepares to leave space dock.
The final 20 minutes of the film when they discover the Voyager 6.
Also, I completely forgot that TNG borrowed their theme music from this flick.

It was still an unapologetically terrible film.
Somewhere there is a Hobby store owner who sold a ton of crap to them for that movie that is sipping tequila on a luxurious beach somewhere for grifting them on that film.

How can anyone hate Worf? He's an outsider who just wants to make friends and prove to his boss that he is a steady worker.
Who constantly gets crapped on, but still is pretty upbeat about it all.
