Every single platform I checked after the result is lit up about this. This is getting all the wrong reactions towards the Oil, and there is a ton of anger and panic.
Half of my family are Oiler fans and - without being flippant - this is the first time so far in the last four years I'm getting "obligations to report mental check-ins" vibes.
The types of vitriol I'm getting is unhinged, but I mostly focus on friends and family that are able to be rational. The best Oiler dude I know simply said, verbatim: "They suck, ####em. Anyone puts a gun to my head to watch this #### and I'm begging they just shoot me."

Was hilarious listening to the oilers announcers try to spin everything in the oilers favour. Absolutely everything. Every hit, blocked shot, powerplay, breakout of the the zone… “I feel like this is the moment where the oilers are going to turn this season around.” It was so funny to see each of those moments just pass by and turn to nothing as you watch the oilers lose.
