And also with Gausman pitching he'll get his usual run support and we'll likely lose 1-0.
Then Rangers will beat the Mariners tomorrow and we'll get swept by the Rays next week haha.

I don’t think that Vlad doesn’t care. It’s that important moments seem to be too big for him. He tries too hard and grips the bat too tight. He had some horrendous at bats today when we needed him to show up and it has happened a lot this season.
He might want to start some work with a sports psychologist in the offseason.

Oh I have no doubt Vladdy cares as much if not more then anyone in the team
The weak leadership from coaching / management/ veterans has really hurt his development

He’s also third in the league in hit into double plays which of course leads the club, even beating out Kirk on that stat. I honestly can’t think of a high leverage late in the game, pressure packed moment where he has performed lately. I hate it, he’s one of my favourite players, but he’s not been nearly good enoug.

Not really surprising given this team has choked in every big game the last several years. Ryu and Richards were terrible

The guy is 24 years old.
He averages 32 HR, 99 RBI, .280 avg, 68 BB, .355 OBP, 93 runs scored, .846 OPS
3 time all star, gold glove.

I’m not against trading Vladdy, we could get a real nice return.
But as it stands he’s still a good player and a valuable Jay. He’s in his own head when games matter most and he’s still young and can get past that.
Between him and Bo, if we have to trade one, I trade Vladdy. And that opinion for me has flip flopped since last season.

Heh. I don't recall Bennett leading the team in several offensive categories.
Gaudreau a better comparable, if you must. Good numbers, some say questionable commitment, not sure that you will ever win with him, etc

Hearing last weekend his mom is quite sick I’m also willing to give him a bit of room. When my dad was bad off I can’t imagine my work performance was great and I know people in my team picked me up. So there could be a contribution there, we don’t know the details on it, and don’t need to but that’s tough.
I think the point is this season is what it is, I’m willing to give it another go with him simply because the upside is so tantalizing.

I'd like to see what he can do with a different hitting coach. The issues he has seems to plague other players on the team too.

Had to look that up and that definitely can throw a person the wrong way for a long time. Totally forgiven if that's the case.

Definitely news to me, and can't believe it's not getting mentioned more. That would absolutely play on his mind.
