It's nice to see that he hasn't lost that compelling charisma that he's always been known for!

What could go wrong? That dumb ol charter full of rights probably get in the way but you know, worth a shot, right?

I can't see how the US Bill of Rights would get in the way on this one. Maybe one of the constitutional amendments?

UCP doorknocker came around on the weekend, when he asked if they could count on our support, I said probably not and he hightailed it out. Pretty surprise there was zero pushback or follow up.

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms doesn't stop criminals from going to jail against their wishes. There is obviously a ton of nuance and due process to design here, and I'm sure the UCP will manage to appoint a drug dealer or something to this committee .

Yeah, I think at some point converting the current system of catch and release mixed with punishment that does nothing to solve the underlying cause of the issue needs to get changed.
Mandatory treatment for drug addicts who are committing crimes seems reasonable to me as a sentencing option.

As long as the correct institutions are put in place. It is very easy for these sorts of systems to slip into cycles of abuse.

Harper’s is going to be getting a nice raise for his next ‘internship.’

As someone whos done door knocking for the liberals and NDP, they aren't there to convince people. Your job is to make sure your supporters go out and vote.

And my job is to not waste the NDP's time, while being as convincing as possible to the UCP worker I'm undecided but leaning UCP. I just need some more information. Lots of it.

1 question per household, no follow-ups.

Interview with Dynalife full of excuses. Important note, if you have a standing order you need to bring your requisition again after May 5th, since it isn't in the new system. No way would I have known that without reading this article. Maybe they should email people? Maybe. Naw, just deal with pissed off people who have been waiting for hours and now have to go home or back to their doctor(since they were told they don't need them anymore).

Good point, doesn't his kid work for the UCP getting 100k a year? Sounds like a conflict of interest to me.
Also, his twitter feed is 90% crypto, so he's got a good head on his shoulders.

Good to know, thanks! I always scan them so I have a just-in-case copy.

Same thing happened to me last election. Hopefully they don’t show up in a couple of days when you’re not there and dump a box full of pamphlets on your doorstep like they did to me.
