Man, that's crazy. Lifeguards (assuming those are the shortage) used to be a job everyone wanted and paid really well in relation to other summer jobs.
I'll add to the fact that it's almost impossible for the average person to get swimming lessons for kids, too.
If classes are open to registration, it's full within minutes.

Right. So maybe they fill up in 4 minutes instead of 25 seconds...
There's a huge backlog of kids who couldn't take lessons during the pandemic who are trying to get in.

That seems to be pretty much everything these days. Summer camps for kids, camping spots, etc. etc. RGMG that you have to plan everything out so far in advance these days, which sucks for those that are not able to.

Yeah, I dont know what the answer is, but as someone who worked for a facility that offered Daycamps and such....oh man...the day of Eligibility? Holy....its like nothing you've ever seen.
