Ok you're in at 21 then. This way I don't have to re-format my board.
Any questions just let me know. There are no points.. it's just educational.
Like the hottie draft we may have judges at the end but that's not really the purpose
correction, you're 20th, I've moved ALE down to 21.. I'm getting a bit worried.
With the 6th pick in the draft, Hanna Sniper's EC and the G-String Band, selects in the UK Category (To be changed many Times), from Ripley, Surrey, England, ERIC “SLOWHAND” CLAPTON:
Eric Patrick Clapton, CBE (born 30 March 1945), nicknamed Slowhand, is a 6 time Grammy Award-winning English rock guitarist, singer, songwriter and composer. He is one of the most successful musicians of the 20th and 21st centuries, garnering an unprecedented three inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (The Yardbirds, Cream, and solo). Often viewed by critics and fans alike as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Clapton was ranked fourth in Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and #53 on their list of the Immortals: 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Although Clapton's musical style has varied throughout his career, it has always remained rooted in the blues. Clapton is credited as an innovator in several phases of his career, which have included blues-rock (with John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers and The Yardbirds) and psychedelic rock (with Cream). Clapton has also achieved great chart success in genres ranging from Delta blues (Me and Mr. Johnson) to pop ("Change the World") and reggae (Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff"). Clapton also achieved fame with Derek and the Dominos through the hit song "Layla".

Excellent pick with Clapton, was seriously hoping he'd fall to me!
It was actually a tough pick for me to make, I was really hoping that my pick would have been determined by the previous picks. He wasn't the logical pick for me, nor my "favourite" but in all honestly he's had the most influence in my playing that it would have been foolish of me to let him fall elsewhere.

Yeah, I'm actually happy with having the 10th pick as opposed to somewhere like 1-5. This way I still get to pick pretty early, but I'm not at the very end of the 2nd round, and really...there's not going to be any bad picks in the first round.
With the 7th overall pick Hot Banana Thrust is very pleased to select one of the greatest and most influential guitarists in history.
Jimi Hendrix (November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970)
Born on Nov 27 1942, in Seattle Washington. He was named Johnny Allen Hendrix at birth by his mother, 17 year old Lucille Hendrix. On his release from the army his father, James Allen "Al" Hendrix, retrieved him and re-named him James Marshall Hendrix in memory of his deceased brother, Leon Marshall Hendrix. He was known as "Buster" to friends and family, from birth.
At age 15, around the time his mother died, he acquired his first acoustic guitar for $5 from an acquaintance of his father.
Hendrix's early exposure to Blues music came from listening to records by Muddy Waters and B.B. King that his father owned.
Hendrix got into trouble with the law twice for riding in a stolen car. He was given a choice between spending two years in prison or joining the Army. He was considered him to be a sub-par soldier: he slept while on duty, had little regard for regulations, required constant supervision, and showed no skill as a marksman. He served only one year.
Hendrix learned to play with his teeth properly, according to Hendrix himself: "... the idea of doing that came to me in a town in Tennessee. Down there you have to play with your teeth or else you get shot. There’s a trail of broken teeth all over the stage..."
Jimi played in Little Richard's backing band, "The Royal Company" and briefly with Ike and Tina Turner.
In 1966 Hendrix formed a new band, The Jimi Hendrix Experience. He was also introduced Hendrix to Pete Townshend and to Eric Clapton and joined them on stage for a jam on the song "Killing Floor". Hendrix and Clapton remained friends up until Hendrix's death.
The first Jimi Hendrix Experience album, Are You Experienced, was released in the United Kingdom on May 12, 1967.
Hendrix's popularity eventually saw him headline the Woodstock music festival on August 18, 1969. Climaxing with his highly-regarded rendition of the The Star-Spangled Banner, a solo improvisation which is now regarded as a special symbol of the 1960s era.
In August, 1970, Electric Lady Studios was opened in New York. Hendrix was among the first major music artists to own his own recording studio (the Beatles had opened their Apple studios in London in January 1969).
Hendrix is widely known for and associated with the use of hallucinogenic drugs, most notably LSD, as were many other famous musicians and celebrities of that time.
This allowed Hendrix to develop his stage presence, which reached a high point on March 31, 1967, when, booked to appear as one of the opening acts on the Walker Brothers farewell tour, he set his guitar on fire at the end of his first performance, as a publicity stunt.
Hendrix was a catalyst in the development of modern guitar effects pedals. Hendrix constantly looked for new guitar effects. He was one of the first guitarists to move past simple gimmickry and to exploit the full expressive possibilities of electronic effects such as the Arbiter Fuzz Face and wah-wah pedal. The Hendrix sound combined high volume and high power, feedback manipulation, and a range of cutting-edge guitar effects. He was also known for his trick playing, which included playing with only his right (fretting) hand, using his teeth or playing behind his back and between his legs, although he soon grew tired of audience demands to perform these tricks.
Early on September 18, 1970, Jimi Hendrix died in London under circumstances which have never been fully explained. According to the doctor who initially attended to him, Hendrix had asphyxiated (literally drowned) in his own vomit, mainly red wine.
