I could easily see Nashville losing and Dallas winning tomorrow. That would make things interesting.

Min (C2) vs St Louis (C3)
Flames (Pacific 1) vs Nash (W1)
Edm (P2) vs Kings (P3)

Dallas basically needs to go 4-0 or 3-0-1 to have a real chance of playing us, otherwise we're playing Nashville most likely.

Or if Nashville drops out and goes 1-3-1, they'll play Colorado instead of us.
Dallas plays Seattle, Vegas, Phoenix, Ahaheim all at home...where they are much better

Wouldn't be too shocking for them to win 3 or 4

also that site is all facked up right now...has Dallas at 15% to make the playoffs, Vegas at 96 points

The Division winners always got the top spots in the rankings under the Conference playoff format (for example, in 1994 there were only 4 Divisions and the Flames had the 4th-best record in the Conference but were the #2 seed because they won their Division and played the #7 seed Canucks).

The Kings only need 2 points to clinch 3rd place and the Oilers also need 2 points to clinch 2nd place.

Re playoff scheduling: Game 1 and 2 day will be interesting. All Canadian teams likely to have home ice.
Now of course long gone are the days of playing every second night no matter what, but with playoffs to technically start next Monday, will be interesting to see how slotted.

Especially because I am sure ESPN and TNT now dictates with a bigger stick in their first years then NBC did...and because of home ice, it's very unlikely any Canadian teams play on home ice the first Saturday night.

My guess is Flames Nashville/Dallas is well down the US and Canadian broadcasters list.
LA Oilers because of LA and Leafs Lighting because of Toronto, will get precendence for networks.

My guess is Flames play M W F Sun for first 4 games.
Leafs and Oilers play T TH Sat Mon

Checking the arena schedules, it looks like there are concerts booked in to both Tampa and LA on Saturday, May 7, but both Dallas and Nashville are open that night.

So, I'd say there's a good chance the Flames will get HNIC that night.

LA also has a concert on Friday, so there will be a two-day break in the Oilers-Kings series when it shifts to LA. Luckily, both the Lakers and Clippers missed the playoffs this year, so the arena is free the rest of the time.

It's nice that Dallas and Nashville aren't big tv draws in the States (nor are LA or Edmonton), so Sportsnet should get priority for scheduling and we shouldn't get stuck with any stupid weekend afternoon games in the first two rounds at least. That was always an additional annoyance of playing Chicago or Detroit in the playoffs.

Good, hate when we have to play the same day as those two. They get on their McDavid/Matthews gobbling and it runs through the entire night of broadcast. SN taking our intermissions to reflect on McDavid’s points in a loss.

Sure you say this now but that was the closest 4 game sweep ever.

And Nurse got his new contract because of how close it was.

why does this site say it's 1v8 2v7 3v6 4v5?

I'm very confused

ESPN actually has a good breakdown of the current matchups and their season series:
