Yeah one million percent no more blue flag patches on a red jersey.

Would be so on board with this. Something along the lines of the 40th anniversary jersey but with just the regular logo.
As long as the entire group who designed and approved the last third jersey has been shot into the sun.

If all they literally did was get rid of the flags, and kept everything else the same, it would be a 100% improvement.

I'm surprised we're less than 2 weeks away from seeing them and there haven't been any leaked images.

Love the black C. Hope it stays.
I feel like you need some black on the jerseys so it adds some lines and definition to it. Otherwise it's a red and yellow blob against the white ice surface and it's hard to look at.
I love the retros but for only once in a while. Our current jersey is great.

Wasn't nearly as bad as the logo IMO.
Really when paired with shoulder pads it wasn't that bad, since it looked okay squared off. Looked way worse without equipment since the yokes bunched up funny on sloped shoulders.

Pretty much this. Hope for the best but expect the worst.
I really really want the retros or something retro inspired but will settle for no more flags and vertical striping.

Don't confused being pissed with management with not supporting the team. Two very different things IMO.
Don't like the arena crap that is going on (but as I no longer live in YYC the cost doesn't matter to me personally), but I do love and support my team.

The previous third jerseys and clinging onto the Linkin Park era red and blacks shows how incredibly tepid, corporate and circumspect this franchise is with its image and branding.
I can't stress enough how bad those third jerseys are. And not really for their ugliness but by how creatively bankrupt they were. It screamed design by committee and managed by someone who had no clue what they were doing besides trying to make something safe enough to sell enough.
Sure the impetus of a new jersey is to sell it. By that benchmark the jerseys failed spectacularly. A third jersey is an opportunity to tread new ground, test new brands, show life and renewal in a familiar brand. Instead we were reminded what city we lived in with the lamest call back to a western culture. They didn't even own that theme in the Jersey fully!
In the end what we got was a Christmas tree of a jersey. Everyone got to put their own ornament on it so long as it didn't stick out too much.
That jersey was as clear a signal as any that somebody who didn't know what they were doing but didn't trust the designers enough to do their jobs was meddling to much in the process.
