Hawks started off slow last year against the Blues so I wouldn't be overly worried if I was a Hawks fan but you think they would come out a little better than this in game one.

There's no real upset in this series. Nashville had a better year, even with their poor last quarter. It could go either way.

If the Hawks pull of the win, they should ride Scott Darling until he falters. The guy has been amazing in relief of Crawford.

Here is the longest overtime game list, it starts with games ending in the third overtime.

Despite the awful start, the 'Hawks demonstrated the one thing that they can do as a team that not many other teams can match...the ability to clamp down defensively, and possess the puck...the Preds had a 14 minute span, where they had ZERO SOG...

Gotta go back to Crawford, he has had the odd bad outing, but, has been one of the most consistent performers that the 'Hawks have had over the last 6 weeks....He has demonstrated resilience before, and in playoff series.

I think the Preds are done after tonight. 3 goal lead at home and they choke it away? To lose that game in double OT has to be incredibly deflating physically and mentally, and now they have to try and come back in a series against one of the league's biggest powerhouses. I feel bad for their fanbase because they seem awesome for a southern NHL team, but the Predators just can't seem to find another level come playoff time

Mike Fisher is listed as "day to day" with a "lower body injury"...he missed the Preds' last few games before the playoffs...Without Fisher, Lavoilette has some matchup problems at Center, and Fisher is important to both the PK and PP for the Preds. Losing him for any length of time would severely damage the Preds' chances of taking this series.
