Those are the lines I'd LOVE to see.

First combo plays tonight. You'll probably get a chance to see the others at some point.

#Flames Hartley on Baertschi. "Needs to work on all 3 zones." it's about commitment". he tells Sven to use B. Gallagher of MTL as example
Roger Millions@RogMillions1m
Hartley says Joe Colborne is getting rewards for Hard work. He was behind when arriving in YYC..now he's paid off for work. #Flames

Why not?
Sven has seen his ice time decrease during the season so far:
Oct 16 - 15:37
Oct 19 - 14:06
Oct 21 - 14:32
Oct 22 - 12:52
Send him to Abby, let him get 20-25 minutes on the top line, start getting more shots on the net (only has 2 in the last 4 games) and have Ward put him in PP and PK opportunities.

Lets just sit the entire team and tell them to use Crosby/Chara/Lundqvist as examples.

Forwards don't develop under Troy Ward. They get turned into pluggers with zero confidence.
He'll get less PP and PK time than Olson on the Heat.

Yeah, keep dressing Glencross and scratch Sven. Makes loads of sense.

Coaches like some guys and don't like others. Baertschi's icetime seems to be going down despite a clear improvement in his defensive game. Now he is a healthy scratch.
I also think Baertschi deserves a bunch of credit for Monahans success. Which he isn't getting from the coaches.
I can't say I understand it or agree with it. But hopefully Baertschi can work his way into the coaches good books.
First Burke's criticism, than the shift of attention to Monahan, and now this. Tough season for a guy who I thought has been pretty good.

This is B.S., they seem to be harder on Sven then all the other players.
Against L.A. he was one of our hardest working players and played a good 200ft game, didn't see anything from the PHX game that warranted a healthy scratch.
Poor decision IMO. Although I do think Sven should look at B.Gallagher as a smaller player to emulate.

Sven and Jackman have nothing to do with each other unless you want Sven on the fourth line

You don't develop sitting in a pressbox either.
I get that Flames fans have some huge love for Sven that I can't quite figure out and feel he's beyond doing what most of the other prospects in our system have to do to make it, but really sending him to Abbotsford is by far better for him then sitting in a pressbox with negative press around him and all that. He will play there, he will play top minutes there and he will play in different situations.

Not entirely true
You could move Galiardi to the 4th line

#Flames Baertschi didn't play for a while in Phx. "Kind of saw this coming." Says he has to look forward from today.
Roger Millions@RogMillions29s
#Flames Baertschi adds he been working on defensive game and working on the details to improve that aspect of the game.

Just watch Jackman tonight Sven, that is what an NHLer looks like.
Watch him skate around, fumble with the puck a few times, take a moronic penalty or two and perhaps fall down a couple times. If for some reason he decides to drop his gloves, he will get his @$$ handed to him by any and all takers.

I hate the "every player needs to play all 3 zones" argument. What about Butler, 9 games with 0 points, shouldn't he be benched for not being offensive enough?
Sven and Sean have chemistry, coach wants to brake them up... Still think Hartley is the right coach?

Oh god. CP meltdown incoming.
Ashasx claiming a big loss tonight because of no Sven, that'd be a big lol, probably would make Ashass happy though.

Baertschi just wants to play. Was looking forward to playing in Dallas. Says he won't get upset about this. Wants to move past this today.
Roger Millions@RogMillions2m
Full marks to Sven. He was upfront with the media. Sincere and honest. Tough day. I respect him a great deal. Hard not to like.

Baertschi has been more effective than Jackman and Colborne
And he has worked harder than Glencross
Icetime has to be earned, but you also have to let kids play and grow (assuming they've earned it, which he has)
They are destroying his creativity and seem to be determined to turn him into a 3rd liner. It's sad to watch.
