Anyone still watching The Affair? A doozy of an episode this past weekend.
And another vote for Sharp Objects. I read the book a few years ago and can’t remember how it all turned out thankfully. It is very well done.

Did anyone else watch the premier of Lodge 49 after Better Call Saul?
I think it was a bit oversold as being Big Lebowski on TV. I'll give another episode a chance, but I didn't see anything profoundly excellent in the first episode. No laughs, no compelling story, or stand out actors...

My wife started watching Outlander on Netflix and she really likes it but I find it extremely "meh" but man there are some overly graphic scenes in there...

My wife subjected me to one season of it, but I found it to be a show about sexualized torture more than anything else. I found it really distasteful to be honest, and I finally convinced her to stop watching it too.
But I'm here for you if you need solidarity should she continue to watch. Be strong my brother.

I thought it was a really cool concept, but after two seasons I just couldn't watch it anymore. The lead male character is basically just a man baby, making stupid decisions and acting like a teenage boy a lot of the time. Mentally, it seemed like she was decades older than him, which made their relationship seem really weird. The soundtrack is incredible though.
Pro-tip: if you are watching it with the volume up for whatever reason, make sure your windows are closed, especially during those sex scenes. Otherwise your neighbors will give you an awkward wave next time they see you. Whoops.

So I just started watching Luther. I was expecting a thoughtful, slowly developing British drama. No. It is 24, and John Luther is Jack Bauer.
Fun show to watch.

I'm giving a strong recommendation for Killing Eve. Amazing BBC series with Sandra Oh and a new actress (Jodie Comer) who totally blew me away. It's only 8 episodes long to the conclusion of the first season.

Castle Rock. The first few episodes were good, but the one that aired last night was incredible. Last night was the 7th of 10 episodes and it has been renewed for a second season.

Agreed! That was a fantastic episode. Sissy Spacek deserves an Emmy nomination. She's brilliant.

What do we all think about Disenchantment?
It's not Futurama or seasons 2-7 of the Simpsons but I am enjoying the show so far and it does enough to satisfy my need for Groening's style of humour. The story is a little weak but the fun characters and voice acting make up for it.

I really liked it, especially after the first 3 or 4 episodes.

I've been watching Nathan For You. I'm a fan of cringe comedy, and this is full of it. Glad I stumbled across it.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but my wife and I just finished bingewatching all of Shameless, the US version. That is an awesome show. It never let up, and was fun to watch. That being said, it is not even remotely appropriate to be playing in the background with anybody under 18 around... lol Or watching with family/kids

Wife and I just started watching Westworld. Fantastic. Nice to be two episodes into a series knowing you're going to stick it out for the long haul. Enjoying the little touches like using Paint it Black in the soundtrack and Radiohead songs on the player piano.
Got me thinking - if there was technology for this sort of theme park, I personally wouldn't pick the old west. I'd go with ancient Greece. Or maybe the Belle Epoque.

Oh my god if Sissy Spacek doesn't win eveyr goddamn TV award I will shoot someone.
That episode left me shook. Quite possibly the best hour of TV in the last 5 years or more.
