it's like the Yankees are missing a relief pitcher or two who could come in the ninth inning and, close out a game.

Yeah, but he's not a liability in the field like Saunders is.

The Red Sox are also a machine that is peaking at the right time. Power top to bottom like the Jays, but it seems they all hit .300 as well. Very tough to beat. Makes me want to cry. I really hate that team. They are up there with the Canucks and Riders for me.

But can you afford to have an every day outfielder that is basically a complete non factor at the dish? I don't think you can.
Teams at least know Saunders can be dangerous.
Ideally you have neither, but I don't see a world where Zeke gets more days in the field that Saunders. He is a borderline major player at best. He's a good guy to have on the bench as a late game replacement and pinch hitter in certain situations. But he's just not an every day player.

Neither is Saunders in my opinion, where as Zeke can be a serviceable bench player. Upton would be playing every day over Saunders if I was the manager.

Really need R.A to step up tonight and pitch 6-7 good innings; can't afford to suck on this road trip

I like Upton more too but if you take Saunders out you have an entire lineup of RH bats which is not a good thing. I get what Gibby is trying to do, althought I wish he would stop putting Saunders in such prominant roles in lineup.
Getting a couple LH bats absolutely has to be top priority for the Jays in the off season. I think the lack of them has made it easier to pitch against them.

Bob Osuna, asked by @SiddallJoe "who runs this team?" "Troy Tulowitzki, Jason Grilli and Russell Martin. We do what they say." #Bluejays

Well, hoping they can win two in a row for the first time since the Twins series a couple weeks ago.
But not too optimistic with the Dickey/Thole battery going tonight.

I'm skipping the game tonight since Dickey gives me a migraine. Hopefully he surprises me and has a solid game and the Jays win.

Well he got out of it. Hopefully he rolls now because I don't see the Jays scoring many runs on Weaver.

Well, no harm done. Doesn't inspire confidence, but maybe he settles down now.
