Thanks! Couldn't remember his name, but I remember being excited that we were getting this massive beast of a player... until I saw this clean cut dude in glasses and a suit looking like an investment banker, instead of Mickey Rourke from Iron Man 2 lol.

Nazarov may have said that but he had fights with guys like Laraque, Odgers, etc in his career. The thing was - he had seasons with 11 and 12 fights before he got to Calgary and over 20 after he left. But here he hardly ever fought.

Yeah, his career avg is something like 3PIM/GP, but during his time in Calgary it was less than 1PIM/GP. I think he wanted to give up the hitting and fighting, but then discovered it was the only thing that would keep him employed.

Jesus....we're discussing Andrei Nazarov?
He played for the Flames at the tail-end of the 90s...

If anyone could it's the 'best' Russian athlete. They'd get the best stuff and most attention from their government anyway. I'm sure he did some 'Training' there in the offseason.

His goal today was a empty netter, which actually resulted in him breaking Gretzky's record - for most empty netters.

Maybe.
Even Lanny McDonald had a hot streak in his last season. He only scored 11 goals that year, but if memory serves, 7 of them came in March.
I honestly don't know if Ovechkin has that many heaters left in him.
