Yup, should be more, Korea have been terrible. Playing from behind the entire tournament has finally taken it's toll.

Korea looks completely out of gas. Jordan has been first to loose balls, faster closing down space. Son has been totally invisible but that’s not entirely his fault.

Jordan was playing fast and loose and like they had nothing to loose. and look very comfortable now sitting in a low block

The Iran-Qatar semifinal is wide open. Qatar lead 2-1 at the break and could have been more goals by both.

The chaos of the Asian Cup and especially Afcon has been so much fun to watch

A VERY questionable handball given by VAR against Qatar and Iran makes it 2-2 from a penalty

13 minutes added time, love it!

And yeah, there's no way that was a penalty unless the guy has no arms. Seriously, if I were managing, I would just instruct my team to pump balls into the box the entire game. Something is bound to happen, a clip, a push, a handball etc... VAR is that crazy.

I did not see that coming.

Quote:
Toni Kroos will return to the Germany national team ahead of this summer's European Championship, the Real Madrid midfielder confirmed on social media on Thursday.

"Guys, short and painless: I will play for Germany again from March," Kroos posted on Instagram.

"Why? Because I was asked by the national coach, I'm up for it and I'm sure that a lot more is possible with the team at the European Championships than most people believe!"
https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/...head-euro-2024

I've always liked Kroos and its not like Germany is tearing things up at the moment so why not?

Not gonna lie. Walker cranking his clearance off 'Arry was pretty funny.

crazy how FIFA continues to let North Korea be a member

https://www.ctvnews.ca/sports/north-...fifa-1.6819850

Quote:
ZURICH - FIFA has cancelled the North Korea-Japan World Cup qualifier scheduled for Tuesday in Pyongyang.
FIFA on Saturday "decided that the qualifying fixture shall neither be played nor rescheduled" because North Korea couldn't come up with an alternative venue and there was no room in the calendar for a postponement.

"The matter and match outcome will be referred to the FIFA disciplinary committee," it added, which suggested North Korea will be sanctioned with a 3-0 forfeit.

North Korea said it couldn't host Japan and requested a neutral venue "due to unavoidable circumstances," the Asian Football Confederation said without elaborating.

This is why North Korea have pulled out. Seems like a pretty smart move to me.

They played in Japan on Thursday. This game is in North Korea on Tuesday with no Japanese travelling fans.

Is it the end-times? Is it World War Z? Do we have to quarantine the Japanese Home Islands?

The Japanese players, coaches, and support staff, along with the North Korean team who just played in Japan could potentially bring this back with them. I'd say a soccer match is a lot less important than the potential deaths of millions of people.

We'll see if this is the real reason. The Japanese Grand Prix is in 2 weeks.
