Of course, but he is also considered one of their best offensive prospects and it looks like he will make the team this year. He also isn't the only one. Watson looks like a solid scoring winger that is ready to make the leap to the NHL too.

These guys wouldn't have to carry the team or dominate the league like Peter Forsberg. All they have to do is increase the Predator's offensive punch enough to allow their stingy defense to win games.

I'm not very worried about the standings overall. I'm just kind of relieved that the Flames are actually expected to stink it up this year so that there is no need to be the least bit disappointed when they do. My expectation is just a crappy season with not much good coming out of it but interest in watching younger players develop. The rest of the standings can go whichever way they want.

I see the standings first thing in the morning, via the Calgary Sun newspaper. I turn to the sports section, see the Flames in last, and slowly close the paper in depression/anger.

Or I see the Flames in first, and it's party central!
