This is all personal opinions. From recent years, i will say yeah, maybe i don't like a tonne of wayne's stuff. Regardless though, his impact on the hiphop community is huge. His influence (why also having Drake to back him, since he signed Drake under his record label) is unquestionably one of the biggest hip hop influences in recent times. Yeah, i like Nas. I like Dre. I like eminem. I like The Roots. Don't Say Nuthin' will probably be one of my favorite songs for years to come. The beat and rhyme are just sick. Nas said hip hop was dead, well, IMO Rap and hiphop suffered immensely in the last 10 years, but hell, Drizzy and Weezy are bringing it back to mainstream, is that something to be ignored? I don't know if its that drake wasn't poor when he was signed, but he'd got skill? Does all the talent in hip hop only have a basis if it comes from the underground or a hood?
Surprised nobody has mentioned Drake, probably just because of all his mainstream popularity but truth be told in the hip hop community he is being looked at as the next best. I think he's got the talent and ability to have a long and award filled career, just my 2 cents.
Lets talk about Drake in a bit (like 20 years). He's accomplished so much but so little when compared to other rappers.
lol @ the Eazy E selections. Probably the least talented member of NWA, and at best a reluctant, ordinary MC. Top 3 artist? He's not even top 3 in NWA.
I will also put forth the unpopular opinion that Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac are only popular and revered because they're dead. Were they great? Arguably. Best ever? Nah, man.

LOL is that a joke? Eazy-E was not the least talented member of NWA. Him, Dre and Ice Cube pretty much made that group. I don't even know who the hell the other two or three guys where.
I am personally a fan of Talib Kweli, Souls of Mischief, Jurassic 5, Atmosphere, and Hieroglyphics so I would add them into the mix. I can't really see any of these being on any "top 10 of all time" lists though.
I also have to say that in terms of mainstream success, LL Cool J (who I would argue was the first rapper to use his sex appeal) and Beastie Boys should be in the argument.
I got a grey kitty a white one and a tabby too and a big orange guy who put snakes in my shoes mad MC skills leave you struck and I roll with my kitties and I'm hard as ######!
