Doesn't excuse it . Jona Hill called the papperazzi a fag on camera and it still follows him. Just don't say it period especially when cameras are following you around. Poor choice of words for sure . What ever just happened to calling someone an #######?
Edit: You would be right in assuming he is a cab mugger. Not paying and assaulting a cab driver is the definition of cab mugging.

Very good game. Nice back and forth action. I would like to see Glencross not give up on plays so quickly. He sees what needs to be done and either stops or skates away. I understand positioning but he needs to lead by example and get involved on purpose more frequently.
But all in all, we had to know Hiller was going to return to earth and be a solid Goalie who might just need to be fighting for that top spot to keep sharp.

I still think we should trade Bart for a RW prospect of similar upside. Its not that I don't like him or anything but we could really use one and I don't think we would miss Sven that much.

Great game. Love Jooris and the usual suspects (Monahan, Giordano, Brodie, Hudler...)
- Looks to me like Glencross is missing some strength from his hands. Some odd weak passes and slow to shoot.
- 'Hawks pretty blatantly attacked the weak links in our defense; Engelland, Smid and especially Diaz. I thought Diaz did okay under those circumstances. Still not a great player, but seems to be calming down.
- A little surprised that Bollig got so little icetime. He looked pretty good when he was on the ice I think.
- Even though we didn't win, we passed another test. Chicago needed their best effort plus a bit of luck to beat us tonight. No better teams in the NHL than the 'Hawks, so that's a big deal.

I wonder if it is a back or an ab/rib issue. He seems to struggle in tight when stopped or on getting his body aligned with his feet on the first step.

Oh and that was another thing, Bouma looked totally lost on the 1st line. I mean, if Hartley is now willing to split up the lines, then give Jooris a game up there. Or Ferland. Or Sven even. But leave Lance on the bottom line where he's comfortable.

Why can't any of our goalies handle the puck?

I thought it was a real good game for most of the forwards. The young guys were real impressive too. Jooris, JH, Granlund, Ferland were all very good. Thought Sven had a good game too, even with the Hawk's 4th goal. I don't blame him much for getting schooled by Kane being completely flat footed, but he could of used his stick a bit better to get the puck, but it was Kane so yeah. But he was engaged, threw some hits and made some good defensive plays I thought.
Glencross is such a enigma this game. Was having a very good game for the first two periods, but man in that third he was handling the puck like a grenade. Dunno how he goes from that sweet pass in the 2nd to being unable to stick-handle in the 3rd.
Also man we need Russell back, Diaz is bad at hockey. Our defensive depth definitely is not good.
Hiller was definitely not that great, let in some bad goals and had that awful turnover. But he made some good saves too, but we'll see what Karri brings next game.
Overall, great game to watch. Very back and forth, Flames competed with two teams that are the class of the league, so overall.... I ain't even mad

The play of Hiller has started to decline a bit. The weak attempt to pass the puck to Wideman cost us.

Time to start rotating goalies like clock work again. Competition is down between those two that ones getting to comfortable.
Edit: gif didn't work at first but that is something else LOL

Winning a faceoff against Toews in the last few minutes was awesome.

The difference being, Crawford was giving up rebounds, Hiller was just letting them go in. That GWG was on the sad side.

Also I agree that Bouma should not be on the first line. I'm a huge Bouma fan but he did not look comfortable there. I think maybe move a more skilled guy up there like Byron or Sven or Hudler, or maybe Ferland for a big line that can cycle and wear the opposition down.

I know the Flames had a MUCH better third period in them.
I think Harts might have uttered the word "caution" durin the intermission. A mistake, if so. We were owning them at the end to end speed game.

Time to give Ramo a shot at the #1 slot.
Hiller needs to be pushed more to play better.

I said it in the GT; Derek Wills just said it in the Hot Stove Lounge: Granlund and Jooris should start looking for apartments. Might see Ferland pretty soon as well.
Don't know how it'll all shake out but these guys are playing NHL-calibre hockey.
