Texas bill would fine men US$100 for masturbating
Quote:
"If a sperm is wasted, God gets quite irate," as may the State of Texas if a new proposed bill passes.
The Man's Right to Know Act bill goes beyond the Monty Python deeming every sperm sacred by putting a dollar-value to them. It would financially penalize men for their "unregulated masturbatory emissions."
A Texas lawmaker is making a point about legislation that restricts women's access to health care and abortions by proposing to fine men US$100 when they masturbate.
"Emissions outside of a woman's vagina, or created outside of a health or medical facility, will be charged a $100 civil penalty for each emission, and will be considered an act against an unborn child," the four-page Man's Right to Know Act bill, filed Friday by state Rep. Jessica Farrar, D-Houston, reads.
Alongside the penalty for wasting semen not resulting in a pregnancy, Farrar's bill would require a "medically unnecessary digital rectal exam" before any man undergoes a vasectomy or can be prescribed Viagra.
The 11th term Democrat tells the Houston Chronicle that her bill mimics how a woman seeking an abortion is forced by Texas law to undergo a transvaginal ultrasound, which "has nothing to do with her health-care."
She says while some people think it's funny, her bill highlights the obstacles women face "that were placed there by legislatures making it very difficult for them to access health care."

Notice it doesn't say "Donald Trump's tax returns" simply "Trump tax returns". People are going to be pissed when they tune in to see Tiffany Trump's tax returns, thus technically making "Trump tax returns" correct.

I think the eye roll is for the story above about the $100 fine for men.
I'm going to say that MSNBC has something small, like the NYT had, that doesn't shed much light on the situation. If it was a smoking gun that showed Trump had big financial ties to Russians then I think they'd be a lot more serious about it.

What makes me skeptical is if they really had the tax returns, they'd probably go breaking news right now and milk that for hours to come. Maddow is already their highest rated show so it's not like they need a ratings bump for it, they need it more for like right now. But we will see, it's either gonna be a massive story or blue balls of the heart.

Actually, I meant to put the ![Whistle](images/calpuck/smilies/whistle.gif) guy but in hindsight, I'm not really sure what the heck is appropriate. Frankly, nearly all the of them would work in some fashion or another.

I agree, I don't think this is going to be anything significant, otherwise it would be spreading like wildfire all over the news right now and Trump would be rage tweeting about it as we speak.

He probably had this leaked on his own for two reasons
1) takes focus off the disaster of trumpcare
2) gives him something to complain about to his base

The 2005 forms are probably in the same place as the 2015 forms, no? Under the same social security number I reckon.

The point of this is to demonstrate there's a huge interest, by the public, in Trump's tax returns. The amount of attention this generated is massive.

For the people with brains, the rest of them vote Trump and can overlook possible Russian ties, because of wall, and Muslim ban.

It was a public appeal for more leaks, meant to reach as wide an audience as possible.

Looks like that may be the case...
Quote:
David Cay Johnston opened his interview on the Maddow show by questioning whether Trump might have leaked the returns himself; if he did, he could hardly have chosen a better document. The 1040, with no schedules attached to elucidate the way Trump’s vast empire of holdings breaks down, states merely that Trump paid $38m in taxes for the year 2005 – the very earliest year he’d have disclosed, had he released his taxes the way every president post-Nixon has customarily done.
For that year, the $38m Trump appears to have paid to the federal government works out to a 25% effective rate - in 2005, the very highest tax bracket was only 35%, and capital gains were still 15%. It could easily be the year he paid the absolute most in taxes. The taxes themselves say “client copy” on them, so whoever sent them to Johnston had access to Trump’s personal files, rather than those belonging to his accountant or the Internal Revenue Service.
