The other issue, if I recall this correctly, is that it was supposed to be a direct based on their route approval from the Mexican authorities. That is the big reason they filed direct even when they knew they couldn't make it, and then do an in air diversion. So kind of a myriad of potential regulatory violations as well.

This lawsuit may be trying to kind of piggy back off those as well.

Can anyone here recommend a website or app that lets you see what flights are in the sky around you?

Any chance of a CF-18 flyby for the Labour Day game this afternoon? Is there any good resource online to find out about these things before they happen?

Definitely. Two will do a fly past during the opening ceremonies.

Delta flight goes where no others will — in and out of Hurricane Irma

Travel 1 hour ago
Self-described aviation geek Jason Rabinowitz (@AirlineFlyer) was keeping tabs on commercial flights near Hurricane Irma when he noticed on Delta flight headed for Puerto Rico was headed right into the arms storm. Here's how it looked on flight radar.

Looks like the beach at SXM was relocated onto the runway thanks to Irma:

I volunteered in Operation Argo at YYC today, which was a simulated disaster scenario. That was fun! Also got to see the Antonov up close. That thing is just massive.

Just need a couple of planes to land and the beach will be back where it belongs.
