A WestJet damn near slid off the runway and they closed that one, then Air Canada almost biffed it on the other runway, so we pulled the plug.

At least everyone is safe. I jest when I hope the airport shuts on Wednesday, but I really don’t want to go back to London.

We're back open and the runways are good but a whole pile went to Coilerland and they're overwhelmed so tonight will be a glacial recovery.

You can't leave the plane anyway, especially if international inbound cause everybody would have to clear customs and then round then reclear security and round them all up. It's a nightmare.

That must've spiced up a usually boring and mundane flight!

I shovelled about six feet down my front steps toward the sidewalk before realizing underneath the snow is like a curling rink. I'm going to wait until the sun comes out later today.

Ah the age-old dilemma.
I plan on doing the bare legal minimum.
Mother Nature and Global Warming can get off their asses and pick up the slack!

Lol, love the forecast update. Went from about 5 cm next Thursday, to 20-30cm and 10-15 mm of rain from Wednesday thru Sunday.
Even forecasting a little lightning at -3 on Saturday night.

Ugh saw that. I'm flying out of town for 10 days on Tuesday, after hearing what happened at YYC Airport last night, I'm praying the forecast is correct where it doesn't come until Wednesday.
I haven't left the continent in 5 years, this second winter better not screw me out of it!

It was a perfect combination of a quick snow dumping, the temperature and humidity. Pretty rare for that amount of chaos to be caused by relatively little snowfall.

Yeah hopefully. My 1st ever flight leaving the continent several years ago was cancelled due to an off-season snowstorm, so I have some PTSD from this stuff ha-ha

You walk up to the cockpit and tell those bastards to strap Rudolph to the front of the plane and quit their whining and take off! They can follow his nose so bright!
