well IDK it was a 1 goal game at the time...it may indeed have changed the outcome. Flames were getting tons of chances.

"closing the hand" is a bit of a misnomer.
You aren't allowed to do what he did.

He didn’t throw it to a teammate that is a complete lie, the defenseman hit the puck before Carrier scored.

Spurs, I am not sure what you are watching tonight but I feel like you have really jumped the Moon. I think you should change your name to Moon.

What's that? Bat a puck that's in the air to a spot where he can maybe get his stick to it?

You don't actually have to close your hand, catching it and throwing it the way he did should be a penalty.
Here's the rule:
67.2 Minor Penalty – Player - A player shall be permitted to catch the puck out of the air but must immediately place it or knock it down to the ice. If he catches it and skates with it, either to avoid a check or to gain a territorial advantage over his opponent, a minor penalty shall be assessed for “closing his hand on the puck”.
He didn't immediately place it or knock it down to the ice. He caught it and carried / threw it to try to gain a territorial advantage.
That should have been a penalty.

I’m good, like I said and others have agreed he didn’t close his hand on the puck. The fact people can’t handle that is hilarious though.

One of those games where you didn't help yourself much but you also got no help. Like none.
I'd feel much worse if we were the Oilers and got handed PPs in the last 5 minutes every game (as well as any time the opponent got a lead) but still managed to come out point-less.

Not sure why you quoted my post. I never said it should or shouldn’t be a penalty. I said he didn’t close his hand on the puck like Hrudey and others said.

I've seen closing hand on the puck penalties called when a player knocks it down and it goes several feet in front of them too.

Ya, because you know more about it than what people who actually are involved in the game do.
